Radiator Replacement
The Miata is equipped from the factory with a plastic tank radiator. Over time the plastic tanks will begin to deteriorate and weaken. This condition is evident by inspecting the top of the radiator – if you observe areas of the top tank that appear “lighter in color” and/or “chalky” in appearance, then it is probably ready for replacement. Having your Miata radiator fail on the highway can be disastrous; quickly leading to an overheating condition that may result in engine damage.
Clutch Slave Cylinder
So..you jump in the Miata one day.push in the clutch and nothing is there. It may not be as expensive as you think. The most common Miata – MX-5 clutch problem stems from the failure of the clutch slave cylinder. This is a relatively inexpensive repair and you can be back on the road in no time.
Timing Belt
The Timing Belt (60k) service on the Miata is something that should be performed by someone with specialized knowledge of this car; our expertise on the Miata will keep you from experiencing any unintended consequences after having a major service done on your car. When you replace the Timing Belt, it is also a good time to replace other components that may be nearing the end of their service life. Other items you should consider replacing at this time include – Camshaft Seals, Front Crankshaft Seal, Water Pump, Coolant Bypass Hoses, Etc.these may involve little or no additional labor when done with the timing belt but would represent a much larger expense if replaced individually later.
Top Replacement
